MizPee: Mobile 2.0 for Toilets

MizPee, just reviewed on TechCrunch, is a web site devoted to help you find a toilet when you need to go. To find a toilet that fits your needs, just turn your mobile browser to Mizpee.com or SMS 415-350-2290 and enter a location. Mizpee will spit out the toilets in your area along with details like disabled access or a diaper-changing station.

It may sound a little absurd, until nature calls while you’re on the go

Opera Mini Launches ‘Dimension’ for Mobile Browsing

Opera has launched a new Mini beta version, code-named Dimension. There are several new feature updates with this release.
For mobile browsing, Dimension will initially show a thumbnail overview of the site, called “PC View.” This lets you toggle through the thumbnails to get to the part of the page you’d like to see. This allows for easier web page navigation. You may recognize this from the Opera browser for Nintendo Wii (intelligent zoom). The new release also has a virtual mouse, enabling you to scroll in any direction. Opera has also added support for handheld stylesheets, HTML Tables, more advanced CSS support and Bi-directional text.
Overall, the changes made reflect better navigation, and a more compelling user interface, incorporating more tools and functions that we’ve become familiar with on our PCs. We’re seeing a lot of development in the mobile arena; some redefining the way in which we browse and experience mobile web pages, and others, like Opera, incorporating as much familiarity into the mobile browsing experience as possible.
In other mobile-related news, Clusty has launched a mobile version of its website.

MEDC 2007 for Windows Mobile developes in Suntec City

Video: MEDC 07 Singapore Invite - Meet Derek Snyder (MEDC Global Content Manager)
Microsoft will hold a Mobile Devices Embedded Convention (MDEC) 2007 in Suntec City Singapore on 8 June. Would love to go but work is holding me up. Would have been a great opportunity to find out about development of mobile applications on a Windows Mobile platform which is the OS of my current HP PDA phone. Maybe there will be another convention for Symbian OS developers.
